I attended the "Singapore urological association (SUA) urology residents’ course 2024" during 21-23 August, 2024.
I have to say I had a wonderful experience during the course. I met 65 Urological residents and professors from overseas (they came from 9 countries; Singapore, Thailand, Macao, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal).
The first and second days of the conference were held at Holiday Inn Atrium, most of the contents were lectures by professors and presentations by residents.
I went there with 2 other 4th-year residents from Phramongkutklao hospital (Ton; rightmost) and Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai hospital (Pure; leftmost).
The last day was probably the highlight of this event which we all looked forward to. The event was held at Sengkang general hospital. So many amazing workshop stations were prepared for us, such as Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, Robotic station, TURP, TUEP, Nanoknife, Urolift, etc. The host also held a competition for top 3 residents to win a prize, sadly I didn’t win one 😂.
After the conference, I stayed in Singapore for 2 more days to do some sightseeing. Singapore foods were nice and delicious but also very expensive.
All these wonderful experience and time I spent there could happen because of Thailand urological association committee. The association gave me a chance to participate in an interview to be a representative for this program. I also received a scholarship for registration cost and also pocket money.
